The President spent the day focused on Operation Desert Storm. He met with senior national security and defense advisors and spoke with British Prime Minister John Major, French President Francois Mitterand, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and the King of Saudi Arabia. In the afternoon, he also gave an interview to Bernard Shaw of CNN. That evening, the President spoke with family members, friends, and cabinet members.
